EPAM Systems and Exteria to develop Tyumen Oil Company e-Marketplace

EPAM and Exteria will develop e-Marketplace for The Tyumen Oil Company (TOC) by the end of the year 2002

Moscow, Russia, May 15, 2002 - The Tyumen Oil Company has selected EPAM Systems and Exteria to help it improve market transparency and enhance its ability to deliver oil products to customers by implementing a major oil and gas e-Marketplace by end-of-year 2002. The new e-Marketplace represents another phase in the evolution of the TOC enterprise technology environment. When completed, the system will automate the whole range of the TOC's business-processes from production to sale.

TOC expects the e-Marketplace to provide a new and important procurement channel to its trade partners. Partners will be able to react to market changes more quickly by performing transactions online, enjoy reduced trade commissions and inform themselves through a powerful suite of reporting services. The fusion of the e-Marketplace with TOC's legacy systems will facilitate the integration of data from both traditional and electronic sales channels. Dynamic transaction accounting and analysis will help customers develop effective trade policies.

EPAM and Exteria's proposal for the TOC oil e-Marketplace was selected from a tender of more than 50 participants - including the worlds major IT consulting companies and Russia's largest system integrators. EPAM and Exteria have a combined history of success with more than fifty large enterprise-level projects in 30 countries worldwide, including complex enterprise-wide technology implementations for several Fortune 1,000 companies.
