  • Java/J2EE Developer

      We are currently seeking a Java/J2EE Developer who will be playing a key role on EPAM engagements through the development of custom software solutions.

    Requirements:
    • No less than 3-5 years of hands-on experience with J2EE/Java based web application development;
    • Experience with core Java technologies such as: JSP, JSF, JSTL, EJB, JavaBeans, Servlets, JDBC, ANT, XML, Web Services, XSL, XSLT, SOAP, JUNIT;
    • Demonstrated experience with: EJB, Hibernate, or any other JPA implementation;
    • Demonstrated experience with: Weblogic Server, Websphere, or similar J2EE servers;
    • Large systems development or system integration initiatives;
    • Additional
      • Experience with automated acceptance test tools such as Cucumber, Frank, FitNesse, Selenium or Watir;
      • Experience working in an Agile environment;
      • Experience with Extreme Programming (XP) engineering practices;
      • Experience with Continuous Integration environments such as Jenkins;
      • Experience with Oracle products;
    Responsibilities:
    • Work in a high performing Agile team;
    • Software Design including 3-tier architecture;
    • Design, develop and implement components and modules spanning the Presentation Layer, Middle Layer and Data Layer;
    • Work closely with the Product Owner to implement user stories;
    • Interface with client's IT team to promote systems, databases and processes to production;

    Common information:
    • We are currently seeking a Hybris Development Lead/Architect, who will be a critical member involved in scoping, designing, and ultimately delivering a complex technical solution for a project involving the evolution of current software to a new generation platform. The Architect of this project will participate in the overall strategy, standardization, analysis, design, and implementation of a client initiative. The successful candidate will be working with key business stakeholders, analysts and other Solution Architects/Technical Leads on the client side.

    • Calgary, AB;
    Requirements:
    • 5+ years in Hybris/ecommerce architecture, systems integration and development, package implementation, relational databases, with knowledge of multiple technologies and interactive design;
    • Hands-on experience with Hybris code base;
    • Certified Hybris Core Developer;
    • Hands-on customer facing management and technical delivery experience;
    • Experience in full lifecycle software development processes and methods;
    • Experience with mainstream e-Commerce platforms such as Hybris, Demandware, GSI, Intershop, IBM WebSphere, ATG or Magento;
    • Experience with Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions;
    • BS/MS in CS or equivalent;
    • Additional
      • MySQL, Oracle and/or SQL;
      • Demonstrated ability to work with distributed (onshore-offshore) teams and outsourcing partners in multiple time zones;

    Responsibilities:
    • Understand product model, order management, customer service and other requirements for a hybris base ecommerce solution;
    • Design and recommend proper hybris implementation/customization for product, inventory, customer and CSR cockpits;
    • Experience with hybris core, extensions, and data model;
    • Advise on best solutions and technology stack. Learn new technologies and frameworks;
    • Develop proof of concept solutions;
    • Define and document overall solution architecture and translate proposed solution to other parties;
    • Participate in the elaboration of software development best practices, continuous build implementation, TDD/Unit testing, automated testing strategies;
    • Provide guidance for load and stress testing of web based applications, databases, ESB, backend servers and legacy application;
    • Work with the implementation team on a daily basis providing technical guidance, reviewing work packages, ensuring successful delivery;

      Experienced in implementing CRM systems for global companies, the Salesforce.com Solution Architect is responsible for creating and owning the overall design of the Salesforce.com platform-based technical application that integrates functionalities with and data from various subsystems containing consumer data.

    Requirements:
    • Considerable previous experience in CRM implementations in an Architect role;
    • Significant professional experience using the Salesforce.com platform;
    • In-depth knowledge of standard Salesforce.com functionality;
    • Experienced with Enterprise Integration tools around the Salesforce.com platform (e.g. Oracle connector, Web services, Middleware connectors);
    • Proven experience in working with distributed (virtual) teams, ability to delegate work & tasks;
    • Outstanding presentation and communication skills (oral and written);
    • B.Sc. or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience;
    • Certified Salesforce.com consultant;
    • Additional
      • Experience with Financial Systems would be an asset;
    Responsibilities:
    • Design Integration Solutions between Salesforce.com and other systems (consumer databases, campaign management systems, etc.) using standard salesforce.com tools, third-party applications and custom developed solutions (force.com, APEX, VF);
    • Define systems strategy, develop systems requirements, design/optimize development procedures, org and release strategy under multiple deadlines;
    • Lead functional specification design and technical architecture sessions/workshops;
    • Validate technical feasibility of design approach outlined by Enterprise Architects;
    • Perform detailed analysis of client business and technical requirements;
    • Validate resourcing needs for solution delivery;
    • Working closely with the Salesforce.com competency centre and supporting the CRM competency centre through implementation of best practices and standards for SFDC platform across industries;
    • Assisting/participating in the creation and collaboration of new project proposals and any SFDC pre-sales related activities;
