VisiQuate, a leader in SaaS-delivered Enterprise Performance Management, was looking to build an offshore Center of Excellence (CoE) to help deliver and support its Enterprise and Business Performance Management (EPM/BPM/BI) solutions. Located in Northern California, VisiQuate delivers its solutions to clients in healthcare, financial services, and commercial construction.
VisiQuate has succeeded in standing out within a crowded EPM / BPM / BI sector by creating three main product differentiators:
Given VisiQuate’s need for strong differentiation in the highly competitive markets they operate in, they needed much more than a traditional offshore services provider. They needed a software development partner who could align strongly with their vision, one that combined exceptionally strong product engineering skills for SaaS and large enterprise solutions, with real-world business acumen from large scale BI, EPM, and BPM. They also insisted that their partner should have the strong business-level knowledge needed to develop the intuitive user experiences their clients were demanding. One of VisiQuate’s biggest differentiators is a highly flexible approach to personalizing the user experience, despite its being a true multi-tenant solution. This requires extremely AGILE practices in software development, enhancement, and maintenance, which narrowed down the list of suitable offshore providers.
At a previous company, the VisiQuate founders and staff successfully built offshore delivery centers with EPAM and with two other eastern European vendors, as well as one significant captive center, which ultimately offered over 500 US hospitals and health care providers daily BI and Analytic insights into their financial, operational, and clinical data. This experience of Budapest, St Petersburg, Kharkiv, and Lviv, working with 3 vendors and building a captive center, meant that VisiQuate knew the pros and cons of different locations and engagement models.
