EPAM CEO Recognized in CRN's 2004 Top 25 Executives Issue

Press Release:

Arkadiy Dobkin Spotlighted as Key Industry Influencer in Foreign Relations Category

Princeton, NJ — November 18, 2004 — EPAM Systems, Inc., the largest software engineering services provider with development centers in Central and Eastern Europe, received further endorsement of its position as one of the leaders in the global outsourcing industry when president and CEO Arkadiy Dobkin was recognized in Computer Reseller News' (CRN) "2004 Top 25 Executives" issue. The prestigious annual roundup of top technology leaders named Dobkin in the "Foreign Relations" category, identifying him as one of the three most influential executives in the fast-growing IT outsourcing market.

Eastern Europe has been considered for some time as one of the most promising outsourcing destinations, especially recognizing the very strong regional software engineering talent. However, until recently most vendors active in the region were too small to attract significant interest from major clients in the US and Europe.

That is not true anymore. The CRN article states, "With seven development centers and more than 1,000 employees, EPAM Systems of Princeton, N.J. is the largest provider of outsourced software services out of Russia. CEO Dobkin recently predicted EPAM will post 65 percent to 70 percent growth in the current year".

"I'm proud that CRN recognizes EPAM as a company that is truly changing the perception of Eastern Europe and its place within the IT outsourcing market, as well as of the fact of being named in the Foreign Relationship category together with the leaders of such distinguished companies as Wipro Technologies and CGI Group," said Dobkin. "As outsourcing continues to grow in importance to the whole global economy, EPAM continues to provide customers with a geographical vendor alternative combining the very advanced software engineering talent in Eastern Europe with proven processes and domain knowledge from our US and EU locations".

In addition to being recognized in CRN's Top 25 Executives issue, EPAM has received numerous industry accolades for its high-quality software engineering services, most recently for the 3rd consecutive year in Deloitte's list of "Technology Fast 500" and in Software Magazine's "Software 500" list of the world's largest software and services suppliers targeting enterprise IT organizations. EPAM also was distinguished by Gartner as "Offshore Vendor to Watch" in 2003.
