Middle DevOps Engineer

DESCRIPTION
Currently we are looking for a Middle DevOps Engineer for our Guadalajara office to make the team even stronger.
This individual will be a member of cross-functional teams and will support DevOps Automation efforts for transition/implementation of a DevOps approach to a cloud and non-cloud computing environment. The job will include developing a DevOps strategy, along with implementation and/or integration of Version Control, Build Systems, Deployment, Repository Systems along administrative and support. Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary and individual who is self-motivated and eager to research and identify solutions critical to the public, need to be a DevOps evangelist. Core skills required for this position include Jenkins, Chef, Git, AWS and Jira.
Responsibilities
- Manage technical aspects of end-to-end release lifecycle for applications delivered by development team, from a DevOps stand point
- Work on release automation (Continuous Deployment)
- Work on Build automation (Continuous Integration)
- Establish the final release configuration
- Participate in auditing of performance and security issues discovered during the release process
- Onboard new functionalities related to deployment process, update DevOps strategy accordingly
- Improve the communication between Development and Operations teams -> DevOps
- Work directly with developers and business analysts as the team is part of a wider development stream
- Actively collaborate with Solution Designers and Architects using DevOps
- Design, implement and support any tool related to DevOps architecture
Requirements
- 2+ years’ experience fully as a DevOps Engineer or a combination of SysAdmin + DevOps or SysAdmin + Development
- Linux Administration
- Any Cloud / IaaS / PaaS:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Rackspace, OpenStack, OpenShift, SoftLayer
- Virtualization:
- Xen, VMWare, Hyper-V, KVM
- Any scripting language (basic):
- Bash, Perl, Ruby, Python
- Any App and Web Servers (Tomcat, Nginx, Apache, JBoss, WebLogic) or Databases (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, DB2, NoSQL: MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra, DynamoDB, MarkLogic, Couchbase)
- Handling high severity issues and troubleshooting experience
- Experience working on production environments and client facing

- Networking in Cloud (huge plus)
