What You’ll Do

  • Join as a senior member of an established team of senior attorneys and contract negotiators supporting all revenue related transactions primarily for the North American region
  • Be an integral part of the continued growth of EPAM's commercial deal pursuits as well as general legal issues that arise in North America with varying degrees of complexity
  • Negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts, focusing primarily on IT software services agreements (projects), consulting agreements, statements of work, as well as subcontractor and alliance agreements and other in-bound commercial agreements, role will include assisting other members of the global commercial team to efficiently close deals
  • Assist in the development of legal procedures, practices and systems, embedding them in North American operations
  • Lead and assist with various special projects as assigned such as: developing templates and standard positions; improving contract management approaches and educating internal teams to assure conformity and consistency in application of relevant policies and procedures
  • Lead and assist with the development and management of privacy compliance policies and procedures, working with cross-functional partners when needed and providing proactive guidance specifically on contract-related privacy and data protection laws, regulations, industry standards, self-regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate with internal and external subject matter experts, including external counsel, when needed
  • Prepare management reporting to summarize status of contract negotiations, disputes and provide information to aid in management decision-making
  • Implement and conduct training on policies, programs and contractual approaches
  • General Experience & Skills: General commercial experience (with experience in commercial IT services transactions strongly preferred), a recognised credible leader, sound judgement, good drafting and writing skills, strong communication skills, experience of managing competing demands and working under pressure, able to work independently, speed and strong work ethic

What You Have

  • At least 15 years of experience as a practicing attorney with experience in a top tier law firm and directly relevant in-house experience
  • Experience with a global IT services company, dealing with management at senior executive levels and operational procedures and personnel
  • Experience with cost-effective management of outside legal resources
