EPAM Systems is looking for a Freelance Google Cloud (GCP) Architect for Google Cloud Platform Solution Practice team based in Stockholm.
This is a hands-on role, where you will work with a great product and a great team.

The project will start 1.9.2020 and first we would be offering you a 3 months contract with possible extension.

Responsibilities

  • Architecture design of holistic Cloud ecosystem with a focus on Google Cloud Platform capabilities and features
  • Architecture design of Production, Staging/QA, and Development infrastructures running is 24/7 environments
  • Robust and consistent Cloud Strategy design aligned with business objectives
  • Provide guidelines for infrastructure migration approaches and techniques including numerous applications migrations into the cloud including implementation of hybrid cloud solutions within regulated enterprise environments
  • Evangelize Cloud computing expertise internally and externally to drive Cloud Adoption
  • The candidate becomes a valuable member of EPAM's Google Solutions Practice in Sweden, providing Cloud expertise within the team

Requirements

  • Consulting skills:
    • In-depth cloud professional, competent of quickly establishing connections and credibility in how to address the business needs via design and operate cloud-based Architectures
    • Experience in Agile or PMI methodology managed projects is appreciated
    • Experience of participating in discovery activities
    • Experience in platform and cloud migrations, including migration factory
    • Work experience with geographically distributed teams and off-shore model
    • Strong written, verbal and mock-up skills
    • Great communication skills and fluency in English and Swedish
  • Technical skills:
    • General Experience in IT: 10+ years
    • Experience as Systems Architect: 5+ years
    • Deep understanding of architectural patterns and antipatterns
    • Previous experience as Team Lead and Technical Lead
    • Experience working within Agile methodologies, especially with SCRUM Framework
    • Background in designing and implementing on-premise infrastructure solutions (Networking, Security, Virtualisation, Connectivity, DR, Backup)
    • Experience working with public cloud providers: 3+ years
    • Hands-on experience working with Google Cloud Platform: 1,5+ years
    • GCP Architect Certification is a great advantage
    • Experience designing and providing technical leadership of complex cloud solution in GCP
    • Hands-on experience with enterprise graded IaC tools, such as Terraform
  • Experience designing and providing technical leadership of complex cloud solution in GCP:

    • Google Compute Engine
    • Google Kubernetes Engine
    • Scalable and Highly available solution in GCP
    • Logging and Monitoring
    • CloudSQL
    • Google Cloud Storage

Nice to have

  • Experience with PaloAlto VM setup in GCP
  • Azure DevOps
  • Experience working on SAFe managed projects
