What You’ll Do

  • Deep and broad understanding of one of the financial vertical (Retail Banking, Wealth/Asset Management, Insurance)
  • Analyze existing application portfolios, develop next-gen application architecture, transformation and modernization roadmap
  • Design and implement financial services enterprise solutions using AWS, Azure and/or Google Cloud
  • Participate in the full cycle of pre-sale activities, including RFP processing, proposal development and direct communications with potential clients
  • Strong customer facing, C-level stakeholder management and relationship building skills
  • Collaborate with account managers, account delivery and other account roles to develop budgets and timelines for solutions
  • T-shaped technologist, who has deep understanding of the one of the technology domains such as Data, APIs etc. and broad understanding of other technology domains
  • Mentor and provide architectural guidance to multiple teams building innovative applications
  • Develop Proof-of-Concept projects to validate new architectures and solutions
  • Lead implementation of the solution from establishing project requirements and goals to solution "go-live"
  • Support multiple Agile Scrum teams with planning, scoping and creation of technical solutions for the new product capabilities, through to continuous delivery to production
  • Liaise with offshore team and clients for resolving technical dependencies, issues, and risks
  • Drive common vision, practices and capabilities across teams
  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand required capabilities, integrating business knowledge with technical solutions
  • Engage with Technical Architects and technical staff to determine the most appropriate technical strategy and designs to meet business needs
  • Demonstrate broad solutions technical leadership, impacting significant technical direction, exerting influence outside of the immediate team and driving change
  • Assess and evaluate risk as required
  • Keep skills updated and remain proactively aware of happenings and current events in the industry
  • Mentor, educate, and train colleagues as requested
  • Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends and best practices

What You Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, software engineering, or related field
  • 15+ years of work experience in a relevant role
  • Proven history of generating innovative and effective solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills to explain complex technical topics in an easily digestible manner
  • Designing and building applications using container and serverless technologies
  • Experience architecting highly available systems that utilize load balancing, horizontal scalability and high availability
  • Deep expertise in solution architecture including web services, relational and non-relational databases, front-end and/or back-end technologies
  • Good exposure to Agile software development methodologies and DevOps practices such as Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Continuous Integration (CI) and automated deployment
  • Experience working with highly scalable, performant and mission critical architectures
  • Must have technology consulting experience for large scale enterprise
  • Self-started, self-driven, problem solver with strong ownership and commitment
  • Must have experience with:
    • SOAP and REST web services using API driven approach
    • Java or .NET
    • AWS and/or Google and/or Azure
    • Full large scale SDLC with strong focus on automation (DevSecTestOps)
    • Data, BIG Data, BI, Analytics, AI/Machine learning
