Senior Software Engineer Description

We are looking for a Senior Java Engineer who is a very motivated person, solid team player, self-starter with the ability to pick up new technologies rapidly, to collaborate and work with onsite and offshore teams.

The project is about the development of the MDM platform for the early pioneer and the leader in mobile security and management for smartphones and tablet computers. The system consists of many applications/services implementing mobile device, application and content management, as well as mobile product offerings.

What You’ll Do

  • Work in a fast-paced, agile development environment with small, focused teams delivering product regularly
  • Collaborate with other Developers, Quality Engineers, Product and Program Management and senior technical staff to develop innovative and customer impacting solutions
  • Provide solid technical input to new feature functional requirements and technical requirements and partner with the business owners, architects to design and implement a solution
  • Investigate & improve the existing code base/processes

What You Have

  • 2+ years of production experience in development
  • Deep expertise in server development in Java - contributing towards both functional (features, capabilities etc.) and non-functional (scale, performance, distributed systems etc.) areas
  • Understanding of Spring Framework
  • 1+ years of experience with SQL databases (procedures, triggers, view, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux
  • Knowledge of Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD required
  • AWS expertise
  • Ability to support applications and systems in a production environment; reviewing requirements and translating them into a documented technical design
  • Exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker
  • Capability to build and test tools like maven, TestNG, Clover

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with AWS, EC2, EKS, Kubernetes, S3, ELB, API gateway, Cloud formation
  • Experience with Spring Security, Cloud and Data, Liquibase
  • Familiarity with Microservices architecture
  • Good knowledge of data structures and algorithms and practical uses
