We are looking for an Associate Experience Designer specializing in Research or Visual Communications in APAC to make the team stronger. This candidate will be enrolled in our newly launched Emerging Designer Academy program known as SwitchUX starting in May 2021. SwitchUX is a 16-week coaching and mentoring program for individuals who have a foundational understanding of user experience design but may not necessarily be a UX designer at the moment. The program will be a combination of instructor-led training, self-learning, coaching, mentoring and peer-to-peer learning in topics such as design fundamentals, research, interaction design, usability and validation; gaining experience working with engineering teams, understanding the basics of agile delivery and technology platforms. Throughout the program, you will have opportunities to gain real-world hands-on experience working with our design and engineering teams across APAC.

As part of EPAM’s Digital Strategy & Experience Design team, Associate Experience Designers are expected to create design solutions that we bring to our clients. This person should have strong attention to detail and the ability to consistently generate and deliver clear and organized UX deliverables. A qualified candidate should also be comfortable interacting with project teams including fellow designers, project managers, engineering teams and our clients for the duration of the project. In addition, this candidate should be highly organized, structured with strong interpersonal skills to communicate properly with the project team and clients. Finally, they must have a proven desire to grow, to constantly challenge themselves to learn new skills and be able to refine and evolve their aesthetic and practices over time.


  • Approach work seriously while maintaining an open-minded approach to collaboration and constructive criticism
  • Produce high quality design deliverables with strong attention to detail
  • Collaborate closely with other disciplines
  • Meet deadlines and work with the design and project leads to understand and prioritize workload
  • Receive and respond to constructive feedback from peers
  • Support UX lead in client management, coordination and logistics (internal & external)


  • Diploma/BFA/BA/BS in Interaction Design, Human Computer Interaction or related field (or other formal training)
  • Has a basic understanding of the design process and how it fits into an overall experience design approach that includes research, user experience, and front-end development
  • Has good understanding of related fields such as product management, project management, Agile, digital technology platforms, content strategy, business strategy etc
  • Has a strong portfolio demonstrating visual communication, user experience, research skills or prototyping
  • Has strong communication skills with the ability to present internally, as well as to clients when needed
  • Is committed to gaining new skills and regularly seeking inspiration and ideas
  • Solid project coordination, client communications and management skills
  • Novice knowledge in Design & Prototyping Tools (e.g Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, Balsamiq, Invision, Framer, Principle, or similar tools)
  • High level of written and spoken English
  • Native level of simplified Chinese communication skills

  • Academic or professional working experience overseas
  • Working experience in global environment where colleagues, stakeholders and onsite client team are based in different locations, be able to cope with differences in culture, and time zones
