Our client is one of the biggest hedge funds in the world managing investments for a wide array of institutional clients, including foreign governments and central banks, corporate and public pension funds, university endowments and charitable foundations.
Currently, we are looking for IT Business Analyst to our Data Visualization team. The team build visual tools for Researchers to analyze and consume large amounts of structured and unstructured data. The tools allow the users to slice and dice time series data, understand what is happening in the world and generate new ideas.
Users of the technology in the Department are extremely sophisticated investors who are also technically savvy and work in a deep partnership model with the engineers. Our goal is to build highly functional, beautiful, and intuitive technologies for these processes which ultimately drive, scale, and enable our investment processes.
Responsibilities
- Effectively collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyse and define current business processes and requirements
- Translating business requirements into detailed functional specifications in a well-structured and clear way
- Operating within a dynamic team focused on fullstack development but also working with engineers from several different areas of focus
Requirements
- Strong IT Business Analysis methods, tools and process knowledge
- 5+ years as a IT Business Analyst in technically rigorous environments holding extremely high bars
- Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodology for SDLC
- Experience in working with JIRA and Confluence tools
- Responsible, self-motivated, hardworking and excellent team player
- Excellent requirements analysis and ability to produce high quality documentation
- Excellent communication, collaboration and leadership skills
- Experience in project management and delivery methods, tools and techniques
- Excellent soft, analytical and problem solving skills:
- Act like an owner consistently holding a high bar for the quality of work
- Anticipate problems and complications, and formulate solutions to unblock the progress of the project
- Act as an owner, assume responsibilities, and drive requirements to solutions
