Are you a master of Java interested in the coming frameworks, tools, and techniques? Do you know how to solve challenging problems in elegant ways?

We are currently looking for a Lead Java Engineer with strong communication skills and extensive experience in Java development and API development to construct a more productized interface for customers. Must be very strong technically in the back-end, integration, interface API work, and experience in leading offshore development teams.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead a development team and deliver on the next generation implementation of digital solutions for our business
  • Drive technical specification and the component design
  • Perform full-cycle application development in an Agile environment
  • Communicate with the stakeholders to clarify requirements
  • Estimate of work and reporting work done
  • Perform code rand PR reviews for peers
  • Demonstrate implemented functionality during Sprint Review
  • Work with the Product Manager, Program Manager, and Scrum Master to review, groom and size the backlog items for each release
  • Set code quality standards, high automation coverage, secure coding practices, and best standard practices for CI/CD

What You Have

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related technical discipline
  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • 2+ years of experience working as a technical leader in moderately complex, distributed solutions
  • Strong experience with Java Enterprise and the Spring Framework (Core, Data, Container, MVC, JDBC)
  • Expertise in generic computing science, including OOP modelling (UML, SOLID etc.), algorithms, data structures and design patterns
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, can coach, grow, and mentor other engineers
  • Experience working with a distributed global team
  • Development expertise in MongoDB, Kafka, Spark, and other databases and big data technologies
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Jenkins
  • Proficiency with relational database concepts and interaction (JDBC, SQL, RDBMS), with UNIX and scripting (.ksh, Perl etc.)
  • Experience with web and application servers
  • Decent expertise in Cloud solutions (AWS cloud stack, S3, SQS, SNS, etc.)
  • Know-how of agile development practices (Scrum, XP, Kanban, etc.)
  • B2 English level and higher (communication with the customer via calls/emails)
