Our Learning Practice helps clients realize transformation by identifying and bridging gaps in employee or consumer skills, knowledge, behaviors, and mindset. We design, develop, and implement a variety of enablement solutions for learning and performance support using the latest insights from the learning sciences. In other words, we go beyond “training” to create learning experiences that really work. We also help our clients design and build learning organizations that support a continuous learning culture and the modern learner.

As a Learning Services Principal within our Business Consulting practice, you will introduce and drive activities to help clients transform their business and recognize the greatest value from people transformation through learning and enablement. You will also serve as a key leader in the expansion and growth of our Learning Services practice across EPAM.

Expectations include identifying learning and enablement gaps, defining solution approaches and strategies, as well as leading or coaching managers in the delivery of all aspects of learning projects supporting client teams. In addition to client service and delivery, the Learning Services Principal is expected to make significant contributions in both business and practice development. A critical component of this role is to partner with EPAM’s Practices including Software Delivery, Digital Engagement, Product Development/Engineering, Design and Business Consulting to successfully engage and create a plan to address our clients’ business challenges.

What You’ll Do

  • Actively communicate with and effectively influence all levels of the client organization
  • Demonstrate superior presentation, organization, project leadership, and meeting facilitation skills
  • Lead, model and support the continued evolution of differentiated methods, tools, and approaches for the Learning Services practice
  • Drive practice growth and development through leadership of collateral development, thought leadership, and internal awareness building and evangelizing aligned with Learning Services’ goals
  • Identify new business development opportunities and lead the efforts to respond to requests for proposals generated by the broader Business Consulting and EPAM teams
  • Take ownership of all Learning Services related activities. This includes budgeting, staffing of project teams and continued development (training and mentoring) of more junior team members
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify key gaps that will impact the organization; and develop and execute learning, enablement, or organizational design activities to close gaps
  • Lead workshops with stakeholders, senior level executives and large groups
  • Manage learning projects including client relationships, project team members, resource plans, staffing, timelines, and budgets
  • Work closely with a cross-functional project delivery team (engineering, design, innovation, account management, etc.)
  • Provide learning and change management subject expertise to client-facing projects
  • Consult on the best approach to close skill gaps with high-impact learning experiences and other enablement initiatives (i.e. documentation, performance support, digital adoption, knowledge management)
  • Apply adult learning principles and best practices in instructional design to all activities
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams to leverage internal tools and resources
  • Originate and present business development proposals and pitches

Requirements

  • More than fifteen (15) years of relevant experience in an established consulting firm environment. A blend of consulting and industry is also acceptable. This experience must include leading learning and enablement initiatives, building learning organizations, and growing business
  • More than ten (10) years providing Change Management, Organizational Development or People Development solutions in support of technology-driven transformation programs
  • Viewed internally and externally as an expert on Learning; understands and speaks confidently; keeps current on trends within emerging technology, best practices and policies, uses broad base of experience to advise clients on learning experience design and learning organization solutions to keep in line with the rapidly changing business landscape
  • Knowledge of Agile and Design Thinking methodologies
  • Expertise in sourcing, contracting, and managing localization, learning technology, content creation, and multimedia teams and contractors
  • Formal education in Instructional Design or related discipline
  • Expert knowledge of instructional design methodologies including but not limited to: ADDIE model, SAM, backward design, e-learning blueprint, design thinking, and interactive learning experiences
  • Expert knowledge of assessing learning and program impact
  • Passion, energy, a positive mindset, and a ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, work independently, and meet strict deadlines
  • Track record of being reliable, responsive, and client-centered
  • Ability to build rapport and instill trust and confidence
  • A flexible mindset and agile approach to deliverables. Ability to adopt style to engage with different kind of stakeholders
  • Resilience and ability to work under time pressure, manage workload and priorities
