DESCRIPTION


EPAM Systems provides 24/7 support services for users of a major Cloud platform. The Support team is distributed across multiple locations. We are hiring Cloud professionals to extend our multi language Cloud Support team, based in Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan. As a Cloud Support Engineer / Infra Specialist, you will provide support for Cloud technologies such as Cloud Security, DevOps, DevTools, Service Usage API and others.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer technical support issue, by providing a resolution or recommendations to IAAS product and services related
  • Provide technical assistance and support as part of a global 24x7-support organization. Agents must be willing to work a 9 hour shift (1 hour break included) within a 24 hour shift cycle, Monday - Sunday, including public holidays
  • Work closely with engineers and product managers to improve the service and make our customers successful
  • Provide technical support to customers using Cloud Platform products, solutions and APIs
  • Follow standards for communications with business involving operational issues

Requirements

  • At least 3+ years’ experience fully as Systems Engineer or System Administrator
  • Strong knowledge of Linux/UNIX and Windows Server as Administrator level
  • Experience with shell scripting
  • Experience with cloud computing, virtualization and other cloud solutions
  • Strong business ownership and customer support experience
  • Native Japanese communication (reading/writing/speaking)
  • Business level English (B2)

Nice to have

  • Experience in Kubernetes, Docker containers
  • Experience with computer networking (NAT, DNS, firewalls, basic routing, load balancing, etc.)
  • Coding ability in one or more languages (Java, Python, C++, etc)
