You can work remotely or join one of our offices, which are located in Warsaw, Krakow, Katowice, Wroclaw and Gdansk.

The remote option applies only to the Candidates who will be working from any location in Poland.


DESCRIPTION


If you are curious, persistent, love solving analytical problems, enjoy developing elegant solutions for complex problems, this could be the perfect opportunity to join EPAM as a Senior Data Scientist. We are supporting Employment Contract or B2B, depending on your preferences.
In this role, you will be participating in the business enablement both on the client side defining the architectural choices during all stages of exciting presales opportunities for world leading companies, and on delivery side implementing them within the fast-growing Data Practice and Competency Center.

Responsibilities

  • Convert large volumes of structured and unstructured customer data using advanced analytical solutions
  • Use and fit different mathematical and econometric models, develop descriptive and predictive models that deliver better decisions
  • Turn analyzed data into actionable insights and business value
  • Create high-quality data visualizations
  • Communicate effectively with different departments and roles (product managers, engineers) to discuss complex data-driven findings and technical matters
  • Educate and train others on Data Science related matters
  • Estimate, plan and coordinate the delivery of moderate sized projects
  • Evaluate and select Data Science tools and libraries

Requirements

  • Strong experience in data mining, statistics, or machine learning
  • Experience solving supervised and unsupervised models
  • Experience working with relational and non-relational databases
  • Deep understanding of Python ML ecosystem (pytorch, tensorflow, numpy, pandas, sklearn, XGBoost, etc.)
  • Experience with cloud technologies
  • Aptitude for problem solving
  • Fluent English

Nice to have

  • Spark
  • Experience with different data science domains, like computer vision, natural language processing, recommender systems, reinforcement learning etc
  • Experience of leading teams
