We are looking for an Performance testing lead to help our client, a global leader in hospitality booking, in setting up a Testing competence center. As an Performance testing lead, you will be responsible for driving the roll-out of our client’s Testing competence center framework, tools, and practices across the whole Financial Stream (FS) domain. Its a key and hands-on role for the project .

Responsibilities

  • You will lead a team that will be teaching our client how to use our testing framework and tools, supervise your teammates in their day-to-day activities, then we are looking for you
  • Assess client teams performance testing practice maturity
  • Defining & Implementing performance test strategy
  • Be hands-on, as a part of testing team, create performance scripts
  • Being an example to follow for the client teams
  • Supporting client performance team
  • Stay up to date with new performance tools and technologies, perform POC investigations and knowledge sharing sessions on Test Guild meetings
  • Evangelize best practices
  • Analyze if the team has reached reach the required maturity level and move you team to the next client team

Requirements

  • Expected to have at least 8+ years of Performance Analysis experience, 6+ year's hands-on experience in performance engineering domain & 2+ year's industry experience in 5+ projects as TL and/or PM roles with constant hands-on work
  • Strong experience with full life cycle of Agile software development processes, approaches and methods (SCRUM, XP, etc.)
  • Exceptional practical and theoretical knowledge in proactive performance management
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools(Loadrunner, NeoLoad, JMeter) and techniques for creating customized test scripts
  • Has a good understanding of performance testing concepts, including concurrency, profiling, scalability, latency, throughput, system architecture and test conditions
  • Able to define, estimate and execute domain-specific tasks
  • Experienced in building load models with varied mix of transactions created to simulate scenarios that match profiles and patterns of real time usage
  • Has experience in developing and overseeing performance strategies and approaches including creating performance metrics and ensuring all applications are performing to NFR
  • Performing Workload Characterization and defining the workload mix and targets from analytics
  • Has knowledge of best practices for end-to-end application performance management solutions (Web, Mobile, Big-data)
  • Knowledge on APM tools and their integration with performance tools such as Dynatrace, Newrelic, AppInsights & Splunk
  • Knowledge on Cloud platforms like AWS, Microsoft Azure (Environment scaling, Monitoring)
  • Can work as a performance architect for medium to large size solutions to define/review the performance engineering solution
  • Expected to have good customer relations skills
  • Fluent English (both verbal and written communications)

Nice to have

  • Proficient in at least one programming language and has knowledge in database, SQL and stored procedures etc
  • Has experience/ understanding DevOps, has an ability to take lead role in the design and analysis for performance and capacity bottlenecks for traditional and cloud applications
