With the increasing demand for enterprise mobile apps, many firms struggle to find the development and delivery capacity to meet the needs of business stakeholders. The Forrester Vendor Landscape Report shows that companies are looking for apps that provide both digital and operational capabilities to help employees win, serve and retain customers. Service providers that are able to blend innovation, strategy and execution can deliver disruptive apps that utilize emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, virtual and augmented reality.
The market demands mobile apps that are focused on the user in their design, are agile and quick to develop, and also have the flexibility to incorporate feedback as they evolve. System integrators that are more nimble, have a deep bench of expertise and talent, and have nearshore resources are particularly useful in providing end-to-end needs. The most effective vendors in creating these next-generation applications see themselves as digital orchestrators who are able to integrate and offer valuable business strategy with technical expertise. These vendors are not only able to develop innovative apps, but also contribute to and understand their customer’s comprehensive digital transformation strategy.
