Currently we are looking for a Solution Architect for our Gomel office to make the team even stronger.

We are looking for a Software Architect who will support our teams in creating architectures as well as help the client to transform the system into micro-services and the cloud finally. The architect should be able to operate on different levels from system architecture to the source code.

Responsibilities

  • The main goal is to help our teams to transform the current system into micro-services with a prospect of migrating it to the cloud and Docker
  • Design micro-service oriented architecture
  • Create diagrams: components, sequence, deployment, etc
  • Perform profiling of the existing systems
  • Drive technical discussions and facilitate decision-making processes with the client stakeholders and involved 3rd parties
  • Provide technology consulting to the client
  • Review and audit the existing solution, design, and system architecture
  • Participate in the code architecture review and propose improvements
  • Drive POCs to confirm a technology’s value
  • Create technical documentation and technical user stories

Requirements

  • 7+ years in Software Development
  • 1+ years’ experience as an architect
  • Broad view and good understanding of enterprise architecture, designing and engineering excellence
  • Experience in building a micro-service architecture on premises as well as in the cloud
  • Experience in API architecture
  • Experience in Docker
  • Experience in messaging systems
  • Experience in creating architecture diagrams and presenting to teams
  • Deep understanding of technical infrastructure, including network communication, server interactions, security features (such as encryption), authentication/authorization systems (e.g. LDAP, AD), virtualization
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written; able and willing to write customer-facing documentation
  • Solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms, design and architecture patterns
  • Work experience in Agile environment
  • Willing to do a deep dive in the low-level system design up to the source code level if necessary (read code, discuss solutions with EPAM developers and the client’s dev lead, suggest improvements, defend solutions in front of the client’s team)

Nice to have

  • Experience in designing API
  • Experience in migrating a legacy system/service to the cloud
  • Experience in migrating to Docker
  • Experience in Kafka/RabbitMQ/NServiceBus
  • Preferable technology stacks: Java, .NET
