We are looking for a Senior JAVA Developer with DevOps experience come on board and support our operation in Zürich.

Responsibilities

  • The majority (50%) of the work would be DevOps activities like packaging, perl/shell/plsql scripting, GIT migration, then (40%) bugfixing in Java code hence L3 support, then at the end (11%) some minor Java DEV work
  • Design and develop Java software components
  • Make sure produced code is secure, stable and operating efficiently
  • Meet the high expectations of clients through frequent release cycles of quality software
  • Provide your expertise and architectural assistance to other team members
  • Work collaboratively and effectively in virtual teams across locations and organizational boundaries

Requirements

  • Good understanding of the whole software development process (development, building, packaging, verification, maintenance)
  • Hands-on experience in Java and the new features
  • Experience in J2EE patterns, WebSphere config and deployment, Jython/python, Jenkins, Maven, JUnit, EJB2 CMPs/BMPs technologies
  • Experience with XML/XSL/XSD
  • Experience with ClassLoader in AWS, Java SDK
  • Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum
  • Fluent verbal and written English mandatory
