What You’ll Do

  • EPAM Continuum is looking for a Senior Business Strategist to help us expand our expertise driving innovation at the intersection of business and design. In this position, you will collaborate with design strategists, engineers and designers to identify new opportunities and develop compelling value propositions that are consumer driven, financially viable and technologically feasible. You will also structure and develop business and financial models to evaluate and analyze the potential economic success of an idea, strategy, service or new product

What You Have

  • Consulting Skills:
    • Ability to identify and articulate the questions essential to understanding a client challenge
    • Experience as a thought partner, helping clients develop and articulate a clear and innovative vision for their business in the near-, mid- and long-terms
    • Experience working with large client organizations, navigating organizational complexity and ensuring new thinking is successfully deployed
  • Point of View:
    • A holistic view of innovation with an emphasis on customer experience, systems thinking and business viability
    • Ability to absorb, evaluate and develop new approaches and frameworks for thinking about business innovation challenges
  • Business Toolbox:
    • Thoughtful financial modeling capabilities for new products, services, and businesses, emphasizing clarity and appropriateness of assumptions and structure. Many modeling situations will require quantitative analysis of business opportunities based upon new ideas or thinking that have little or no precedent
    • Ability to inform strategy, support recommendations, and tell compelling stories through creative data analysis. Sources include customer surveys, CRM records, and secondary research
    • A good understanding of major business strategy and innovation frameworks and their strengths and weaknesses
  • Human Centered:
    • Experience with human centered design
    • Strong interest in understanding the consumer perspective, and using consumer needs to drive innovation
  • Mentoring Ability:
    • Experience and willingness to mentor future strategists at Continuum and those across the company that will look for guidance and expertise in their development
    • Ability to educate colleagues on methods of business strategy and analysis
  • 5+ years of experience in management consulting, innovation consulting, design consulting, corporate strategy or related field
  • Undergraduate degree required
  • MBA is strongly preferred
  • Excellent presentation, communication, writing and organization skills
  • Experience in project and client management
  • Experience working in group settings with teammates with different skills (e.g., designers and engineers)
  • Experience in managing and mentoring junior strategists and co-workers
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and responsibilities
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of each year based on project work needs
