DESCRIPTION


We are looking to fill in a strategic position, a senior role acting as Application Transformation Lead for Singapore supporting newly launched application.

Responsibilities

  • Play key Cloud lead role for digital transformation by interacting with biz and tech stakeholders
  • Run and organize bootcamps
  • Promotion of cloud native modernization within both business and technology in SG
  • Leverage existing channels like info sessions and communities
  • Working together with business stakeholders during business case initiation referring to successes from other areas
  • Assist clusters with Modernization roadmaps for teams in SG
  • Lead inception workshops to define modernization way forward
  • Lead App Portfolio Navigation methodology for clusters as the first step towards modernization
  • Support clusters/platforms in obtaining commitments from sponsors on modernization business case
  • Roadmaps, arrangements, kick offs, execution and monitoring of entablements with clusters/teams
  • Be present in different “platform” teams to ensure platforms (Azure, PCF, Kafka) roadmap supports scaling plans in a timely manner
  • Route requirements from “consumers” to ensure the right focus from platform teams
  • Evolve best practices and methodologies
  • Promotion of cloud native modernization within both business and technology in SG
  • Assist clusters with Modernization roadmaps for teams in SG
  • LevelUp! scaling for teams in SG
  • Establish scalable and self-sufficient operating model
  • Ensure organizational buy-in to commit Championship resources for enablement purposes
  • Inspiring person with a positive attitude
  • Capable of influencing both engineering community and senior management creating desire to change
  • Participate workshops and presentation of proposed solution to customers
  • Communicate with customer on regular basis to clarify business requirements
  • Provide coaching to team members with technical solutions
  • Work independently while in close collaboration with others in the team and across projects
  • Excellent English spoken and written skills

Requirements

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in software engineering and minimum 3 years in Cloud Native transformations
  • Has strong experience in DDD methodology and microservice architecture
  • In depth experience in Azure, PCF, Kafka
  • Has a change and entrepreneurship in his DNA
  • Strong influencing, communication and presentation skills
  • Good interpersonal skills, analytical mind, get things done attitude, and passion for engineering excellence
  • Ability to analyze several possible decisions of engineering problem and evaluate which one is better suited
  • Willingness and ability to adapt to changes in priorities and requirements
  • Active learner who is passionate about technology and keeps up to date with technology changes
  • Good communication skills
  • Bachelor degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related majors

Nice to have

  • Cloud native engineering background is a huge plus
  • Experience in Spring Could, Microservices is preferred
  • Experience in architecture design
  • Experience in improving project's process
  • Working experience in global environment where colleagues, stakeholders and onsite client team locate in different locations, be able to cope with culture and time zone differences
  • Experience in mentoring juniors or less senior colleagues on the project(s)
  • Experience in conducting trainings or technical tech talks in the area of expertise
