EPAM is an engineering company for engineers. There are more than 41,000 of us across 35+ countries, and this year Lithuania was added to the EPAM map. Right now, we are working on the creation of a core team for our brand-new office in Vilnius.
We are looking for Python Engineers who can develop serverless applications using AWS components, fully deployable from code in an automated fashion. We also expect people to be able to write their API tests cases and monitoring (using Postman) and be operationally involved in the process if something breaks at least within office hours.

What You’ll Do
- Build an AWS based micro service architecture, with a high preference for serverless architecture (where it makes sense), where Python is the chosen language for AWS Lambda development
- Everything should be developed as code, should be fully deployable from scratch, should be auto-scaling and test automation and monitoring are part of every sprint deliverable
What You Have
- Extensive prior experience and knowledge about AWS Serverless development
- 3 years of experience in AWS implementation, including microservice architectures, serverless architectures and containerization
- 5 years of experience in IT, having played roles from Developer, to Technical Lead
- Expertise in setting up Continuous Delivery pipelines at scale
- Strong conceptual thinker and implementation expert (preference for Python for Lambda Development and Java/Spring for Containerization)
- Familiarity with monitoring/testing architectures and best practices
- Understanding of (Scaled) Agile way of working
- Knowledge of DevOps way of working and principles
- Ability to work independently without much need for technical guidance or ramp-up time
