DESCRIPTION


Client is looking to onboard a high potential SW engineer for manufacturing test station. This engineer will work closely with other engineers from HWTE teams and multi- functional teams from worldwide. He/She will also lead endor/Contract Manufacturer teams to accomplish software development and issue debugging, as well as data analysis.

This teams software supports factories and processes that run close to 24 hours a day, 365 days a year in non-ideal conditions. Creating software systems that perform at a high level in this environment requires understanding how software interacts with an overall system and how to collaboratively solve problems.

What You’ll Do

  • Design SW to control the test station/HW, data acquisition and processing algorithm
  • Write, debug, and integrate tests for new silicons and product features
  • On-site support product development builds in China
  • Triage and diagnose issues with a multi-functional team from diverse engineeringbackgrounds
  • Work with teams both internally to Apple and from external vendors to define better solutions and deliver the software before the build event
  • Bring up, debug and mature the test system during NPI build cycle
  • Communicates and present to management in term of strategies, data and status

What You Have

  • MS/BS degree in CE, CS, EE or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience as SW developer / System engineer / Embedded engineer, preferably on test platform development, data acquisition, instrumentation development
  • Hands-on skill in at least one of the programming languages: C / C++ / ObjC / Swift, and scripting languages: python / lua / bash
  • Proven leadership and supplier management skill
  • Good English writing / oral and interpersonal skill
  • Able to on-site work in factory during development builds
