UX Writer / Content Strategist Manager Description

  • Partner with EPAM’s clients to translate business goals and user needs into viable content strategies for new and redefined digital experiences. This includes identifying pain points and articulating opportunities for content curation, revision, and net-new creation
  • Develop content strategies in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team of Experience Designers, Visual Designers, Analysts, Developers, Account Managers, client SMEs, as well as other CS professionals and leadership
  • Identify and lead new business opportunities for EPAM’s Content Strategy team through both prospective and existing clients
  • Educate clients on Content Strategy’s core value propositions
  • Evangelize Content Strategy across EPAM in alignment with CS leadership’s goals and directives
  • Contribute to CS practice-building activities as part of your leadership responsibilities, which can include community management, learning and development, capabilities definition, and other growth opportunities for individuals and the group as a whole
  • Manage up to three direct reports, serving as their resource manager and guiding their career growth
  • Lead on projects with multiple content strategists, ensuring coordination across team members, clearing roadblocks for the team, and coaching / advising as needed
  • Set the vision and strategy for UX writing teams: This involves defining the team's goals, objectives, and priorities. The UX Writing Manager should also work to ensure that the team's work is aligned with the overall goals of the organization
  • Hire, train, and mentor UX writers: The UX Writing Manager is responsible for hiring and onboarding new UX writers, as well as providing them with training and development opportunities. The UX Writing Manager should also create a supportive and collaborative environment where UX writers can grow and develop their skills
  • Manage the UX writing process: This involves overseeing the entire process of creating and delivering UX writing, from ideation to testing and implementation. The UX Writing Manager should ensure that the process is efficient and effective, and that it meets the needs of the users and the business
  • Work with other teams to ensure that UX writing is integrated into the product development process: The UX Writing Manager should work closely with other teams, such as product management, design, and engineering, to ensure that UX writing is considered early in the product development process. This will help to ensure that the UX writing is consistent with the overall design and functionality of the product
  • Measure the effectiveness of UX writing: The UX Writing Manager should track the effectiveness of UX writing by conducting usability testing and surveys. This information can be used to improve the UX writing process and ensure that it is meeting the needs of the users
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in UX writing and design: The UX Writing Manager should stay up-to-date on the latest trends in UX writing and design so that the team can create content that is effective and engaging. This can be done by attending conferences, reading blogs, and taking online courses


  • B2 English
  • At least 8 years of professional copywriting experience, either at an agency or in-house
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, UX, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience on user-focused digital product writing with a portfolio of UX-focused writing samples
  • Experience in working on multi-disciplinary teams
  • Comfortable working independently, managing your time, and meeting deadlines with appropriate support
  • Ability to articulate the rationale behind your work, to teammates and stakeholders
  • Comfortable collaborating with clients to understand their business and translate that into accessible, user-centered copy
  • Well-versed with quantitative and qualitative data to guide editorial choices
  • Comfortable defining editorial processes and workflows
  • Familiar with content migration processes and working with development teams
