To kick off the project, we conducted thorough research into HEAD’s existing platform to identify where we could improve and optimize scalability, personalization and performance. During our review, we recognized the need to:

• Improve and stabilize website performance to ensure it displays pages quickly and accurately
• Reconfigure the deployment architecture to streamline workflows and increase uptime
• Introduce a new visual design for the website to provide a more modern, engaging experience for users 
• Enhance infrastructure scalability

After assessing the current state, we analyzed user behavior, market trends and competitor insights to help us design a future-proof solution. We hosted workshops with HEAD’s key stakeholders to co-create the vision and plan for the digital transformation of each brand involved — HEAD, Tyrolia, Zoggs and Mares. Last, we performed a content management system (CMS) platform assessment to select the most optimal system for HEAD. Ultimately, we decided to introduce a cost-effective solution leveraging HEAD’s existing architecture.

After discovery, we built a flexible, composable architecture on Adobe Commerce Cloud that enables superior scalability and adaptability. When building the architecture, we used new Adobe SaaS services, like Catalog Service to get exceptional product page performance and App Builder to enable customization and integration with Adobe Commerce. We also integrated advanced personalization features and an agile CMS into the architecture to enable the delivery of dynamic, localized content across 40 countries and four brands.

In addition to improving overall platform performance and functionality, the composable architecture provides a strong basis for future migrations to new Adobe services — like Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service — if HEAD plans additional upgrades in the future.

We built a stable back-end infrastructure for the platform while enhancing front-end interactivity and the user experience. We deployed cutting-edge Adobe technologies to ensure fast load times, robust security and responsiveness on mobile devices. In addition, our team rigorously tested and performed QA throughout the deployment process to ensure a smooth and stable launch.

We helped HEAD create a brand new visual design for its website by reviewing and providing feedback on designs. The new website design provides a better overall user experience, driving engagement, interaction and conversion rates.  

After development, we successfully rolled out the new eCommerce platform across 40 countries and four brands. We also set up a unified codebase for all four brands with configurable options tailored for each brand’s store.
