Jill Smart has served as a non-employee director of EPAM’s Board since July 2016.

Ms. Smart is currently President of the National Academy of Human Resources (NAHR), an organization where individuals and institutions are recognized for professional achievement in human resources by election as a “Fellow of the NAHR.” In addition, the NAHR furthers the HR profession through various initiatives including educational programs, research initiatives and scholarships.

She is also the founder and CEO of JBSmart Consulting, LLC., a member of the Cerity Partners Advisory Board, and holds director positions at AlixPartners, HireRight and World Fuel Services.

Previously, Ms. Smart spent more than 33 years at Accenture, a global professional services company, before retiring in 2014. For 10 years, she served as Accenture’s Chief Human Resources Officer.

 Prior to her HR management roles at Accenture, Ms. Smart held business integration consulting positions for clients in a variety of industries, focusing on integrating strategy, technology, business processes, functional applications and human performance components.

She is a Fellow of both the National Academy of Human Resources and the Human Resources Policy Institute. Ms. Smart is also a member of the Peer Roundtable for CHROs, and the G100 Talent Consortium Advisory Board.

She has served on the Board of Trustees for the University of Illinois as well its Alumni Association Board. She currently serves on the University’s Dean’s Business Council at the Gies College of Business and the Chicago Athletic Advisory Board. She is a Trustee of Chicago's Goodman Theatre and is active in The Chicago Network. She is also a guest faculty member of the University of Michigan Ross School of Business Global Human Resources Executive Program.

Ms. Smart received an MBA from the University of Chicago and bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Illinois.
