Understanding Risk

Many companies are rushing to implement AI initiatives with the hope of a quick return on investment (ROI). But that rarely happens without first establishing the proper Responsible AI (RAI) foundation via governance.

The global chemical company relied heavily on spreadsheets and manual processes for its AI governance. As a result, the company was experiencing a bottleneck that was curtailing AI achievement and ROI. Recognizing the challenge, the company engaged EPAM to construct a solution.

Based on an assessment of the company’s AI maturity, the needs became clear:

The company wanted to develop better visibility, consistent AI literacy and clear standard operating procedures to track and communicate regarding AI projects.
In addition to the EU AI Act and other in-scope regulations, the company must adhere to many industry compliance standards.
Finally, the solution had to easily integrate into the company’s existing Asana work management platform.
