Software Maintenance Engineer with HPC Description
Description
We are seeking a skilled Software Maintenance Engineer with HPC to serve as the primary point of contact for our High-Performance Computing (HPC) users. In this role, you will manage complex and high-priority requests, ensuring high-priority research use cases run smoothly by navigating low-level tickets and processes effectively.
What You’ll Do
- Provide comprehensive support for High-Performance Computing (HPC) applications, including deployment, updates, monitoring and user communication
- Ensure efficient use of data science use cases, employing tools such as Python, R, IDEs, and command line interfaces to train models and maximize GPU utilization effectively
What You Have
- Proficiency in Linux operating systems
- Demonstrated HPC skills and prior experience in related roles
- Familiarity with HPC best practices, particularly in job submission for workload distribution
- Ability to troubleshoot effectively, conduct root-cause-analysis and navigate internal ticketing systems and processes (e.g., RX & DDIT)
Nice to have
- Experience with job schedulers such as UGE/AGE and Slurm
- Proficiency in R language and Python programming
- Background in running machine learning (ML) tasks on GPUs
- Previous work experience in Life Sciences, Biotechnology or Pharmaceuticals would be a plus
