EPAM Mexico is Evolving Business and Careers with the Power of Salesforce

We spoke with José Rosette, Senior Business Solution Architect at EPAM Mexico, about his career journey, experience as a member of EPAM’s Salesforce Practice and how we’re helping companies and people evolve and grow through the power of technology.

José has been part of the tech scene for over two decades, starting his career as a Java Engineer focused on fintech and banking solutions. The first years of his journey were trial and error, as the constant changes and challenges of the finance industry forced him to constantly learn and master new technologies and processes. In 2012, he joined one of Mexico’s leading insurance companies, which gave him the opportunity to lead a team for the first time. This experience opened him up to a new way of working and gave him the boost he needed to become one of the best minds in the field.

Life-Changing Advice 

When looking for the next step in his career, José turned to a trusted source: his spouse. She told him about the Salesforce demand in the market and how it could be exactly what he was looking for. He took the leap and started courses and certifications on Trailhead, a Salesforce proprietary training platform. Not long after this, he was asked to implement Salesforce Training Cloud at his job at the time, leading him to seek official Salesforce certification and continue his professional development — and grow to becoming a manager and architect on the platform.

“One of the things that made me love Salesforce is that it’s a powerful tool. Over the years, its different Clouds have started covering different parts of the business, so you can work with different types of clients, from sales to customer service and marketing, and they’re always releasing new Clouds,” says José. He describes why developers should become familiar with the platform, noting the flexibility offered by Salesforce provides room for growth and countless opportunities to innovate across all areas of business.

While José has only been part of EPAM for a few months, he’s enjoying his experience. When asked what he likes most about EPAM, José says, “EPAM is a very diverse, multicultural company. Every day you work with people all over the planet, but despite being global, it’s incredibly organized. There are well-developed processes for all aspects of the business.” He also highlights the innovative spirit of the company that has positioned EPAM ahead of competitors in areas like AI. All of this comes with incredible stability, a customized career path and plenty of opportunities to grow. “In other places, they have the right intention, but they don’t have the tools or the time. International Experience

One of the highlights of Jose’s tenure at EPAM has been the opportunity to talk to people all over the world. Even during his interview process, before he officially joined the company, he was asked about his desire to grow. Less than one week into his time at EPAM, he had already earned his first AI certification and not long after, he booked his journey abroad. A short trip to Chicago to meet with his team and other top developers gave him unprecedented knowledge on the future of the Salesforce platform. Combined with the knowledge he was already learning and trading with people across the globe, José was already preparing to grow in exciting ways.

In addition, he’s become one of EPAM’s leading Tech Talks speakers, giving him the opportunity to share his knowledge and expertise with people across Latin America and position himself as an expert in the field
