Northumberland National Park has been selected to receive an education travel grant which will enable young people from schools and community groups across the region to access and connect with nature.
The nation's favorite yet least visited national park is one of two in the UK to get such funds from software engineering company EPAM Systems, with whom National Parks UK Education Travel Fund has announced a partnership.
The grants are intended to support activities in two of England's most unspoilt national parks through 2021 and 2022, with the other being the South Downs National Park.
