American Tech Giant EPAM Systems Plants Flag in Uruguay

EPAM Systems began 28 years ago in the United States, more specifically in Newtown, Pennsylvania, where the headquarters are located. It started with a group of developers who immigrated from Eastern Europe to the United States and decided to open their own technology company. Today it has more than 60,000 employees who work from all over the world. Its main market is the United States, where 60% of its operations are located and it has been listed on Wall Street for 10 years.

The company is engaged in the development of high technology. It supports clients who are in the technology industry: gaming clients, research and development, healthcare, banking, artificial intelligence and a wide range of companies. One of the key objectives is to take companies to the cloud by the hand, which is a path of transformation, so that the apps are better performing, friendlier and cover more audiences.

“This entire transformation process is done by us. From telling the customer which technology is best for them to implementing it, which is what we are strongest in,” says Hugo Gómez, Vice President for Latin America at EPAM.
