Then you have an opportunity to join EPAM at the Senior Director / Director level to lead this work in Latvia / EU CEE and help build a local team. Your team would join our highly skilled and engaged teams across the globe to build AWS solutions.

What You’ll Do
- Organizational leadership:
- Build and lead the team of AWS experts serving your target geography and industries
- Ensure continuous development of Cloud capabilities — people development, onboarding new products and services, developing collateral and IP
- Facilitate practice growth in Latvia through continuous recruitment, upskilling, reskilling, and junior programs reskilling and junior programs
- Business leadership:
- Drive EPAM's AWS go-to-market strategy — organize and participate in various events, do publications and presentations within and beyond the organization
- Work hand-in-glove with EPAM Sales and Account management team to achieve practice and regional business plan and customer acquisition targets
- Establish and develop a mutually beneficial relationship with AWS Latvia partnership organization, driving joint business development efforts
- Work closely with business in identifying solution requirements and critical case studies / scenarios for the future solution
- Engage customer organizations at the executive / C-level, helping customers drive enterprise-wide Cloud transformation agenda
- Participate in the entire cycle of pre-sale activities, including RFP processing, proposal development, and direct communications with potential clientsclients
- Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends and best practices
- Technology leadership:
- Create a unified strategy for AWS cloud transformation governance, automation, security, implementation, and operations
- Enable AWS journey, analyze TCO and create a business case, making the Cloud dream become reality
- Design and prototype AWS solutions, create solution architecture document covering profound technical aspects of the implementation
- Analyze existing application portfolios, develop next-gen application architecture, transformation, and modernization roadmap
- Conduct AWS solutions architecture review and create audit reports
- Do service design and continuously improve our methodology and consulting offering
- Lead implementation of the solution from establishing project requirements and goals to solution go-live
- Oversee the development efforts and provide technical help as needed
- Lead the client through the technical and organizational challenges of AWS transformation
- Create thought leadership on AWS solutions and hybrid clouds
- Serve as a AWS evangelist, consult and provide technical guidance on AWS solutions design, build, governance, security, operations, and cost control best practices
What You Have
- Experience taking the managerial leadership position in a AWS professional services organization or AWS consultancy AWS professional services organization or leading AWS consultancy
- Large-scale software development or application engineering background with recent coding experience in two or more languages: Java, JavaScript, C/C++, C#, Objective-C, Node.js, .NET, Python, PHP, or Ruby
- Designing and building applications expertise using container and serverless technologies
- 7+ years of architecting highly available systems that utilize load balancing, horizontal scalability, and high availability
- Deep knowledge in solution architecture, including web services, relational and non-relational databases, and front-end and/or back-end technologies
- Good exposure to Agile software development methodologies and DevOps practices such as Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Continuous Integration (CI), and automated deployment
- Familiarity with highly scalable, performant, and mission-critical architectures
- Deep showcase of modern cloud architecture and the history of successful implementation of complex AWS solutions
